<div class="abstract">Peab has been commissioned to build a new swimming pool facility in the Rimner area in Uddevalla. The customer is Uddevalla Municipality and the contract is worth SEK 350 million.</div>The new swimming pool facility will include a 50 meter pool with ten swimming lanes, a pool for swimming lessons, a Swedish Championship standard pool for 25 meter competitions, a children's pool and a diving pool integrated into the 50 meter pool.&nbsp;"We have worked together with Uddevalla Municipality for about a year to produce the documents and plans for the new swimming pool facility. Now we look forward to starting up construction on the new facility that is going to be a wonderful addition to Uddevalla," says Magnus Wedholm, Assistant Region Manager Peab.The project is a turnkey contract in partnership. This means that the first contract signed by Uddevalla Municipality and Peab was for the study, planning and designing for the documentation needed for the swimming pool facility. The contract that was signed now is for the actual construction."After a job well done in a good atmosphere of collaboration during Phase 1 we can confirm that we have stayed within the budget and timeframe for the project. Uddevalla's citizens are really looking forward to Uddevalla's new swimming pool facility so it feels great to get down to planning for construction start," says Torgny Hübert, Project Manager for Uddevalla Municipality.In recent years Peab has built several pool facilities all over Sweden and gained experience that will be used in the work on Uddevalla's new swimming pool facility.
