<div class="abstract">Peab has been commissioned to build a new dock in Karlskrona. The customer is NKT HV Cables AB and the contract is worth SEK 250 million.</div>The project is part of NKT's ongoing expansion of its high voltage cable factory in Karlskrona and comprises construction of a sheet pile dock, a pile deck dock and a dolphin, adapted for a new cable-laying vessel that NKT has ordered for its operations. The contract also includes dredging as well as new construction of and rebuilding water, sewage and electricity facilities. "We look forward to this important contract that will improve the port. This is a project where we will be able to use our internal resources and expertise in both civil engineering and groundwork," says Göran Wiking, Region Manager Peab.The project is a traditional contract with construction starting in June 2025. Completion is scheduled for the first quarter 2027.
