Fragbite AB enters into collaboration for Nordic level esports competition

Fragbite Group AB's (publ) subsidiary Fragbite AB has entered into a collaboration with three other companies for the purpose of organising a Nordic esports competition in Counter-Strike. This collaboration marks the first step in establishing Fragbite AB's tournament business on the Nordic level. The competition – Elisa Nordic Championship 2025 – will take place on 20-24 May in Vaasa, Finland, with a prize pool of USD 100,000. The main organiser of the competition is telecommunications company Elisa (publ).

Fragbite AB has long been a key player in Swedish esports through its editorial business vertical and as the organiser of Sweden's largest esports competition, the Swedish Cup (sw: Svenska Cupen). Fragbite AB is now expanding its competition business by entering into a collaboration with three Nordic players to organise the Nordic Counter-Strike competition Elisa Nordic Championship 2025. Furthermore, the parties have the intent of to jointly establishing Nordic championships on a recurring basis.

The collaboration means that Fragbite AB will organise the Swedish qualifying competition for the Elisa Nordic Championship 2025. The qualifier will take place during the spring and be open to all Swedish players, more information will soon be published in the subsidiary's channels.

“After three successful years with the Swedish Cup, there is a high demand on Fragbite to offer more competitions, from the players as well as the audience. With this collaboration we extend our competition year, provide more opportunities for Swedish players to participate in professionally organised competitions, and offer our partners a broader exposure to the esports audience. We have long been evaluating different options to expand our business in the Nordics and this collaboration is the perfect first step,” says Daniel Pereaux, CEO, Fragbite AB and Config.

Partners involved in the Elisa Nordic Championship 2025 collaboration are Elisa, organiser of the Finnish qualifying competition and host of the main competition, Dust2.dk, organiser of the Danish qualifying competition, and MistGames, organiser of the Norwegian qualifying competition. The aim of the collaboration is to strengthen the competitiveness of the Nordic teams and provide an opportunity for them to compete on the international level.
