DNB's Election Committee has recommended Eimund Nygaard as new Chair of the
Board of Directors of DNB Bank ASA. The election of the Chair of the Board will
take place at the Annual General Meeting on 21 April this year.
The Chair of the Election Committee, Camilla Grieg, refers to Nygaard's
extensive experience from the Norwegian business sector and Norwegian society.
"Nygaard has led the Lyse group through change and growth for 27 years and has
contributed to developing Lyse from a local power producer to a large national
player in the energy and telecom sector. In addition, Nygaard has experience
from Board positions in Lyse as well as in other companies. It is the assessment
of the Election Committee that Nygaard's leadership skills and extensive
experience as CEO of a complex, regulated company provide a strong basis for
contributing to the further development of the DNB Group. The Election Committee
is very pleased that Eimund Nygaard is willing to take up the position of Chair
of the Board of DNB."

The current Chair of the Board, Olaug Svarva, will step down as Chair at the
Annual General Meeting in April, after eight years in the position.
