Well, welcome back to a semi-familiar environment then. I tried to pass a question to Luiro for Jukka’s interview regarding Aiforia’s newest model, i.e., gastric cancer: how they see its volumes and whether they have discussed with pathologists and gastroscopists (i.e., surgeons and internal medicine specialists) in which cases the analysis of endoscopy samples would be done using Aiforia’s model. If searching for celiac disease in the small intestine, it may be that the endoscopy sample pool is not the same as when screening/examining for gastric cancer. Greetings to the thread, Regarding company coverage, we have some news: we are transferring the primary coverage responsibility for Aiforia mainly to me. Antti L will continue to work with Aiforia as a supporting analyst. I am probably more or less familiar to most readers, but for those who are not, I have worked at Inderes for ~4 years as an analyst focusing on life science companies. My background is in biosciences on the academic side. The reason for the change is that my namesake will focus even more in the future on developing analysis operations and the international dimension, which conversely means a slightly smaller number of companies under coverage. On the other hand, there has been room in my calendar to take on some additional coverage alongside my previous companies. So, I expect the coverage to continue quite seamlessly.

I now have a full, good-sized position in Aiforia. At least I interpret this latest -15% as a completely extra “Faron discount.” The stock was already at my buy price even before this. It seems quite promising to me. Many contracts have already been signed, and there’s no reason why more shouldn’t keep coming in the same way. The billing is also starting to slowly trickle in, and once it does, I think the path ahead is wide open!

Quoting the message rather than responding to it. Now that Aiforia has taken a real beating on the stock market and the valuation has dropped to 66 million, I hope it won’t be bought out on the cheap now. $81m was paid for Paige, and it is clearly behind Aiforia, at least in terms of clearances. Aiforia has, after all, received more clearances since the comprehensive report.

Answering my own question: The volume at Fimlab was approx. 1,600 slides in September 2025 and 3,500 in October, and the number is growing. Imaging in this context refers to radiology, so the ambiguity you mentioned does not exist. Aiforia’s solutions are for clinical pathology and, as far as I know, they haven’t expressed interest in moving into competition for the analysis of radiology images.

That pathology field covers a lot of ground, and I suppose it’s about interpreting all kinds of samples digitally using AI, whether we’re talking about cancer, Alzheimer’s, etc., and I guess it relates to imaging depending on how one interprets it.
