Agillic: Adjusts top-line guidance downwards and maintains EBITDA guidance

By Kasper LihnHead of Research
Agillic

Today, Agillic has released its H1 2023 report following yesterday’s adjustment of its 2023 guidance.

With longer sales cycles than previously expected due to cautious buying behavior and a decline in ARR transactions, Agillic downgrades its top-line guidance for 2023 (ARR and revenue). EBITDA guidance remains unchanged.

In H1 2023, Agillic reported revenue of DKK 32.7m (DKK 29.6m in H1 2022), corresponding to a growth rate of 10% YoY. Agillic improved its EBITDA to DKK 1.0m in H1 2023 (DKK -1.7m in H1 2022) in line with the company’s focus on operational excellence.

Total ARR grew to DKK 66.4m (DKK 64.2m by the end of H1 2022), corresponding to a growth rate of 3% YoY. ARR subscriptions increased by 11% and ARR transactions declined by -21%. As a result of a significant global price increase on SMS transactions, some customers have switched to less expensive communication channels offered by Agillic’s platform. This explains the decline in ARR transactions and revenue from transactions. Since the gross margin is low on SMS transactions, this will only have a limited effect on EBITDA.

Agillic has seen more cautious buying behavior from companies during 2023 and expects this to continue into the second half of 2023. As a result, Agillic now expects revenue in the range of DKK 67-70m (previously DKK 79-83m), total ARR in the range of DKK 70-77m (previously DKK 89-95m) with ARR subscriptions in the range of DKK 56-60m (previously DKK 66-70m) and ARR transactions in the range of DKK 14-17m (previously DKK 23-25m). With a high focus on profitability and operational excellence, Agillic maintains its 2023 EBITDA guidance in the range of DKK 1-4m.

Agillic's main strategic financial goals remain double-digit growth in ARR subscriptions, positive cash flow operations, a positive EBITDA, and positive cash-adjusted EBITDA in 2024.
