Veidekke has signed a contract for the next phase of Malmö Designer Village,
which will become Scandinavia's largest outlet for fashion and lifestyle brands.
The client is the property developer FREY Group.
Malmö Designer Village is already in full production. To date, Veidekke has been
awarded contracts totalling approximately SEK 530 million, of which the new
phase comprises approximately SEK 315 million and is expected to be completed in
the second quarter of 2027.
The first part of the outlet village comprises 26,000 square meters of new
construction with associated common areas, parking, complementary buildings and
foundation works. The project aims for certification in accordance with BREEAM
Excellent, which reflects the highest standards for sustainable design,
construction and operational efficiency.
