Aeron, a company within AF Gruppen, has entered into an agreement with the HSI
Joint Venture, consisting of HSM Offshore Energy, Iemants and Iv - Offshore and
Energy, with a value of approximately NOK 150 million excluding VAT.
The contract covers engineering, detailed design, procurement, and assembly of
HVAC-R systems for the Modular Offshore Grid 2 (MOG2) project on Princess
Elisabeth Island in Belgium. This forms a key part of the electrical
infrastructure on what will become the world's first artificial island dedicated
to offshore wind.
"This is a strategically important project for Aeron and a confirmation of our
position as a leading supplier of HVAC-R systems for advanced offshore
installations in Europe. We are proud to contribute to a project that will play
a role in shaping Europe's future energy infrastructure," says Lars Myhre
Hjelmeset, EVP Offshore in AF Gruppen.
Engineering activities will begin immediately, with equipment delivery scheduled
for 2026 and project completion in 2027. The first offshore wind farm connected
to the island is expected to be operational from 2030.
